Michael Malone | Michael Malone has worked in many different fields and taught at a local community college for the last 8 years. Michael then went to work on commercial wind turbines in the Casper area where he became a Lead Wind Technician. He became the risk manager and had many interesting experiences. He studied emergency management at UVU and then went to work for an electrical contractor as their CXO overseeing HR and safety. He has since stayed in the construction field specializing in underground safety. He loves helping people and serving in his community. He has been on two search and rescue teams and is an EMT with a local fire department. Assisting people to stay safe is his passion! |

Richard Wade | Rick Wade has enjoyed a variety of assignments throughout his career. He was employed for several years in the healthcare industry as a Facilities Manager, and in the construction industry as a Project Manager. He retired from Weber State University after 30+ years of service with his last assignment being that of the Director of Environmental Health and Safety. As the Director of EHS, Rick was privileged to lead a group of professionals to ensure compliance for all environmental, occupational health, and safety functions for the university. Rick lives with his wife, Robin, in Ogden, Utah. He enjoys gardening, hiking in the mountains, and spending time with his four children, their spouses, and his eight grandchildren. |
John Young | John Young is a trainer and consultant for the North Dakota Safety Council (NDSC). Prior to coming to work for the NDSC John spent 20 years with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) as a Compliance Safety and Health Officer (CSHO) and then the Assistant Area Director based in the Bismarck Area Office. During his 20 years with OSHA conducting and reviewing investigations and inspections his primary focus areas were in general industry, construction, and oil and gas activities. Prior to coming to work for OSHA John spent over eight years in private industry working in safety in manufacturing environments from coordinator through corporate manager with responsibility for multiple manufacturing plants. He has a Master of Science in Industrial Management from the College of Engineering at South Dakota State University and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle Pennsylvania. John holds professional certifications from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) CSP, OHST, CHST, CIT, and the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM) CHMM. |
