Groundwater Contamination Remediation
The objective of this course is to provide knowledge and skills necessary for being successful in designing or managing groundwater remediation projects. Looking at all aspects that impact groundwater contamination and transportation, this course provides clear understanding for the effective management of remediation projects. With this knowledge and information, the student can be successful at groundwater remediation efforts and avoid many common problems and traps. Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:• Understand the basics of groundwater hydrology and transportation as it applies to remediation
• Know the common sources of groundwater contamination and the significance of each
• Understand different transport mechanisms and remediation approaches
• How to apply models to remediation projects
• Better manage and/or design groundwater remediation projects with more successful results
