Industrial Hygiene is the science of monitoring environmental conditions in occupational settings to help keep workers safe and healthy. This course will examine terminology, principles, processes used by Industrial Hygienists to analyze work place safety and mitigate risks. Procedures for identifying, evaluating, and controling biological, chemical, physical, and ergonomic hazards in the workplace will be covered. This course will also review of applicable federal, state, and local standards associated with industrial hygiene related matters.
