Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor Training

An Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor supervises a team of workers or other contractors/ supervisors during the removal of Asbestos-Containing Materials. The initial course is five days long. Topics covered include laws and regulations, personal protective equipment, the health effects of asbestos, and more. The course has a hands-on component where students demonstrate safe asbestos abatement practices.

This course satisfies the requirements of an initial asbestos training course set by the Utah Department of Environmental Quality—Utah Division of Air Quality. Therefore, attendees may apply to Utah DEQ to become Certified Asbestos Professionals as Asbestos Contractors/Supervisors.

Credit Hours: Upon request, Utah Division of Professional Licensing (DOPL) credits are available for this Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor Refresher course. Credits available are as follows:

Contractor Core Credit Hours: 7.5
Electrician Professional Credit Hours: 4.0
Plumber Professional Credit Hours: 4.0

There is a $15 fee for each type of DOPL credit requested.
