Asbestos Inspector/Management Planner Training
These courses provide "AHERA" training as required by Federal regulations. State and local agencies may also impose AHERA training requirements. Participants who Successfully complete the course and pass an exam will receive a certificate of "AHERA" accreditation.
Inspector: This 3-day course is intended for individuals who inspect for asbestos, identify suspected asbestos containing materials (ACM), collect samples, or assess the condition of asbestos-containing materials. EPA, OSHA, and many states require this course for persons who perform these activities.
Management Planner: This 2-day course is intended for persons responsible for managing asbestos hazards in buildings (participants must first complete the 3-day inspector course). EPA requires this training for those who write or revise school asbestos management plans, and it is recommended for others who manage asbestos hazards.
Upon request, Utah Division of Professional Licensing (DOPL) credits are available for this Asbestos Inspector Training portion of the course. Credits available are as follows:
Contractor Core Credit Hours: 7.0
Electrician Professional Credit Hours: 4.0
Plumber Professional Credit Hours: 4.0
